Yesterday I went birding with my cousin Ruth again to Cambridge. We saw many birds including, Horned Larks, Snow Buntings and Red-bellied Woodpeckers. But lets start from the beginning.

It was a sunny afternoon and Ruth was on her way to the library, but on the way there she thought what a sunny afternoon maybe I should go birding with Sam. So she called over and we talked about meeting up. So about ten minutes later cousin Ruth arrived. I got my camera, coat and boats and we were off. First as we pulled out of the driveway we saw a field nearby and saw some Horned Larks and Snow Buntings there. We took some pictures and drove off to Cambridge. On the way there we stopped by another birding trail so we decided to walk on it. There we walked over to a viewing spot but didn't see any birds. So we left and went to Cambridge. As we followed the trail I saw Black-capped Chickadees so I put my hand out to see if they would come and they did. So I scattered seed on my hand and soon there was a feeding frenzy. Ruth decided to put her hand out with seed too and then a Red-breasted Nuthatch came swooping by to see what all the excitement was about. And soon enough he came to our hands. We kept on walking and the chickadees followed us to a feeding station. We put some seed in all the feeders. And walked some more but it eventually lead to a steep hill so we turned back and when we passed by the feeding station again. There were Hairy, Downy and Red-bellied Woodpeckers checking out the seed. And a Red-winged Blackbird had come since its by a marsh. So we stayed there for a while and went over to where the chickadees came to over hands. And it was about 3:30pm so we had to leave. And all the way back we talked about how much fun we had birding together. And as we pulled up by the driveway the Horned Larks were still there so we took some more pictures. And I thanked her for the trip and she thanked me for the book I got her. And that was my fantastic Saturday!!!!!

Victoria Park

Today our adventure began on our way to Victoria Park. We got a hot chocolate and headed down the road. When we arrived there were many dogs including a shcaunzher mix. We spotted a few cardinals and mallards. Some had inter breded a Mallard x Northern Shoveler. I forgot to bring my camera though so you cant see if I'm correct or not. But the most fun was wishing our dog Max a very Happy Birthday. He is one year in our years and three years in dog years. I think max had a great time meeting other dogs and chasing Canada Geese. Nintendo Wii

Last Friday we bought a Nintendo Wii, which included 2 Wii remotes and Nunchuks, 5 games and a sensor bar. We also bought 9 extra games and a Wii tennis racket, baseball bat and golf club. It is a lot of fun to play and you get lots of exercise which 5 of the games. The rest challenge you brain. Some of the games are tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing. My skill level is about 750, my brothers is 510, my moms is 600, my dads is 370. There is also and extra training and Wii fitness game. On the training one it teaches you how to play the games. On the Wii fitness you take a test and it says your fitness age. With 20 being the best and 80 being the worst my age was 35. My brain age is 69 TERRIBLE!!!

Today is our last day in Arizona. Although I am excited to go home, I will miss all the sights and creatures you see here. I will try to write on our drive home but if I don't I'll write about when we get home. That's all I have to saw today fokes.

This morning at 8:00am my dad and I woke up. We dressed ourselves appropriately for mountain climbing and had breakfast. Then we were off, as we started climbing it seemed easy then gradually became harder. First there were many flowers. Then a little higher and it was mostly rocks. Soon we were at the top of the mountain and I turned around to see... a beautiful mountain view. And a few more steps and we were at the top of the mountain! And there was a.........I was expecting to see a beautiful mountain valley. Which happened to be, a mountain with a few flowers and sage brush. But later we turned our attention to a lizard which I got a few shots of. So we headed down and drove to Denny's had lunch and went home. Later we went swimming and meet Mason and his sister. And we went home had super, I played CLUB Penguin and now here I am typing this blog.

Our dog Max is a 11 3/4 months old. He weighs 21.02 pounds. He knows many tricks including, sit, shake, roll over, jump and more! He spends most of his time, playing, sleeping and eating. We feed him adult Beneful dog food. His favourite places to sleep are his extra large dog bed, the couch and of course my bed. His favourite toys are ropes, chew toys (especially the one that squeak) and blankets. He secretly takes my bed covers. He is a hilarious fawn Pug. He has a couple white spots on him. And a black face and ears. We love him so much. He is an excellent dog, and I would recommend a Pug to any dog lover. The only thing you may not like is he snores EXTREMELY LOUD and is occasionally stubborn and/or aggressive. But despite all of the Pugs cons, their pros overcome them and they are like little comedians! He's a great or should I say EXCELLENT DOG!!! They're like little guards dogs also WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! Sometimes they bark for attention! Nearly anyone would love a PUG!! I sure do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday morning my dad and I went out to Botanical Gardens, which is approximately 30 minutes from our Arizona house. As we arrived there we collected all our needed supplies and we followed the path to the entrance. There on today's Botanical News were Huh Judi and a notice on the Cacti & Succulent House closed for renovation and innovation. Then we paid 14 dollars to enter. When we walked in, there where people waiting for a tour. We found a bench and sat down. We looked at all the maps and events. Unfortunately it was the March news log. So we just went where we felt like going. First we passed the the Cacti & Succulent House which was closed for renovation until Spring. We took the "Do you know your Saguaro (suh-WAR-oh)" quiz. I got 4/6 correct, my dad got 3/6 correct. So we followed a birding trail which lead to Saguaro Forest which taught you about how the Indians survived in the Sonoran Desert. Then we had lunch at the cafe. My dad had Macaroni 'n Cheese and I had Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. I dropped 2 croutons and feed them to the quail and sparrows. Suddenly, towhees, starlings and thrashers came to fight for the food. Then I turned around to see... a sign that said "PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE" in bold letters! I felt terrible. Perhaps it was because the birds will fight over it ha ha ha. So we finished our lunch and we went back to birding. So we went to the Herb Garden and took many picture of plants. Then we went back to the Quail Run Path. We followed this until it lead us to that bird I took a video of, then to the hummingbird gardens. We went through the children's sculptures and there I discovered we had done the whole trail backwards! It was getting late by the time we had finished the trail so we went shopping at he Botanical Store. We found quail models, toys for Jesse and a wildlife book. Soon the store would be closing so we picked up our items and went to the cashier to pay for them. Unfortunately, the debit card was only legal for Canada so we could not use it. We were just about to leave and my dad found 20 dollars in his wallet so we could pay for the book! On the way back home we were reading it and it told you everything you need to know about attracting wildlife to your backyard. And that is the end of the story so goodbye!

Believe it or not these are all hummingbirds. The Ann's Hummingbird. I got so close to these hummingbirds that some of them are blurry, I only showed some clear ones. This morning I was planning to take pictures and videos of sparrows, finches and doves. While I heard a chipping sound. I thought it was a Northern Cardinal or a Pyruloxia. Then I heard a buzzing sound. So I figured it was a hummingbird. Then I spotted it on the hummingbird feeder. It was trying to perch but it couldn't. So it finished its drink and flew to perch on a nearby bush. Then I followed it and toke a step and picture, step and picture until I got these crisp pictures above. It was an amazing experience when I was standing just a few inches away from the bird. And now a joke.

This bird adventure begins in the backyard. This morning I awoke to Jesse snoring. And I got Max out of his crate and took him outside to poo. He did and I got my tripod and camera. As I opened the door all the birds fluttered. So I stood there waiting for 20 minutes and finally a finch came. Then all the other birds came too and soon it was a feeding frenzy. I managed to take 329 close up shots of birds. By the time I came back in it was noon. So I had lunch and spent the afternoon editing 329 pictures. And now, in the evening I am writing this blogger post. So I picked these three pictures of a Verdin, a Ann's Hummingbird and the Costa's Hummingbird. Now its super time so goodbye.

Every day it gets a little warmer and the bird sightings get a little brighter. So there is hope for novice birders.

Today's story is about birds and their habitats. For example the Savannah Sparrow lives in the savanah and the Western Meadowlark lives in the meadows. In the early morning my dad and I got ready for a birdwatching trip. We had breakfast and packed all our nessicities. And we were off. First we went to our neighbourhood birding trail. First we spotted a Gila Woodpecker on a Saguaro Cactus. And a Mourning Dove on a fence. We spotted many birds. By the time we were home it was noon! So, we had lunch and I went birding with my brother out in our back yard. We saw two hummingbrds and a hawk soaring over our street.

There are also many types of rare and hard to find birds in Arizona. Some of the most rare are Phainopepla, Mandarin Duck and Wood Duck. Weather they are wild or escaped from domestic areas they are all rare and beautiful birds. Now we must prevent death of these animals to keep them alive. Some ways are car pools and not hunting them........

This morning in Arizona I went birding with my dad. We saw many birds including Curve-billed Thrasher and Cactus Wren. We also managed to see a beautiful Arizona flower. And many types of cacti and succulents. Then we went to the local park and played Max also had lots of fun rolling in the grass. Jesse made a new friend there and he happens to live on our same street in AZ. After we walked home I went out in the dessert again and got some Prickly Pear Cactus. I planted and now I am typing this blog.

Last Saturday Terry MacAlmon preached at Breslau All Nations Church B.A.N.C. Everyone was very excited that he had come to the B.A.N.C. because he is a very famous singer. However he also had a sense of humor, for example when God touches you fall down. He said just laying there, sucking carpet because someone had remain laying for 4 days once. That someone was laying for 4 days because God decided to bring him to heaven for 4 days. Accept everyone thought he was dead....sucking carpet what a joke. Anyway back to the topic. Well Terry had known Pastor Chamberlain (my gram pa) for a while I think. Terry called him brother Harold. Well they are friends. SUCKING CARPET! Ha, ha, ha! That was pretty funny. Well since this blog is about nature I might as well write about it;

Birds-This weekend there were many species of birds including what I thought was a Red-breasted Nuthatch. Even Kim who had taken birds for granted had found an interest for birds. She spotted some Blue Jays and said in Montreal ( where she lives) White-breasted Nuthatches feed on her hand. In Lynde's Conservation Area we have those feed in huge flocks at our hand. They even had a ride in my bucket of seed! I tried not to laugh but I couldn't help it and I scared the birds away.

This game is so much fun, but there's something that I can't figure out. It's how to get to those two places. Its umm the lake and the bedroom. It doesn't tell you. And I really want to go there. Refreshing/Renewing Church

These past months my grandfather has been changing the church to a better place, if you wish to find this story out read on:

First my grandparents discovered there was a out-dated-church that needed someone to update it. My grandpa accepted the task and he got some workers, meanwhile he preached every Sunday 'till he got enough workers. Then they had to tear apart the Sanctuary. The next few Sundays everyone went downstairs to worship Jesus while the workers were getting rid of everything in there. After they built the new stage etc., etc. we praised God upstairs. Currently they are working on all the offices,
So we just pray in Jesus name that this church will be fixed and that he will direct us to the to right paths.

By the way today happens to be Sunday also........I totally forgot, I've got to get dressed and all ready..........................................Guess what I just said Jesus, then Max started barking like crazy.
So we know JC is in the house!!!!!

Zack & Josh

Tonight we had some special guests, they were Zack and Josh. We played online games at the church and later we showed them our four wheelers. They came inside and of course I showed them my blog. Only Josh was a little bit interested, Zack was busy playing Jesse's nintendoDS. Of course you know how fast you can get addicted to them and now Zachary wants one. You know what is going to happen next, don't you... My guess is Joshua will want a DS when he spotted Zack playing with it. Then they'll be haunted by they evil power of...................................
ADDICTED. Okay, maybe I got a little exaggerated but still DS games look pretty realistic. Anyway, back to the topic; but Jean Claude is here so I will do a blog later.

Every winter we go to Arizona, always finding new birds and other weird animals in the early morning. Here is the story of one of our trips:

It all began when our grandparents moved to Phoenix, Arizona so we decided to go there too. We signed out of school and we started to pack but it surprisingly didn't take very long. So we were ready to go and we were on the road. It took us 4 days and we made many stops to get souvenirs including a fancy wood-carved roadrunner.

By the time we were unpacked it was bedtime. So the next morning at 6 we went birding, but there wasn't any birds. But we continued walking until it was 8 and......There was birds here, there, over there, EVERYWHERE! IT WAS PORING WITH BIRDS! We didn't know which ones to identify first. So I just set my camera to rapidly taking pictures while I spinned around...Of course that wasn't exactly what happened I just took pictures of many birds, so beautiful I didn't know what they were?

We began putting birdseed out in our backyard and soon I found myself buying a 8kg bag of it. We had to refill 9 bird feeders daily. It was a lot of work but it was worth it. I finally got a field guide to Arizona Birds. And we saw quail, finches, hawks, wrens, thrushes, roadrunners, and lots lots more.

Thank you mom and dad for taking me here, IT WAS AN AWESOME TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

Baltimore Orioles have always excited me, the beutiful marking on their feathers or their interesting cup shaped nests. I have seen many orioles here in Kitchener and I found a oriole nest. But in Point Pelee there were orioles everywhere! I will tell about that story later. Anyway, here is some information about orioles you might want to know:
