Birds of Arizna

Can you find the hummingbird in this picture?
Gila Woodpecker
Gila Woodpecker
There are hundreds of species of birds in Arizona, the Cactus Wren, the Gila Woodpecker and the Ann's Hummingbird. These are just a few of the most common birds in Arizona. There are also many types of rare and hard to find birds in Arizona. Some of the most rare are Phainopepla, Mandarin Duck and Wood Duck. Weather they are wild or escaped from domestic areas they are all rare and beautiful birds. Now we must prevent death of these animals to keep them alive. Some ways are car pools and not hunting them........
To be continued from our readers.
You can do this by suggesting ideas in the comments box about saving God's creations!

Wow, great birds and many of which I have never seen before! I do hope to visit out there one of these days! Do note that one great way of helping these birds is purchasing a duck stamp! The stamps go towards conservation of wetlands and preserving habitats for ducks (and also many other critters)! So, please take some time and look at both sides of the story before getting upset about hunters! They have done some amazing things for wetland reserves which many of us birders visit! Also, one great way of protecting our birds is suggesting congress put a tax (like the duck stamps) on our binoculars and camera equipment that we purchase that helps protect our birds! Right now, good majority of the funding is only coming from the hunters (who are taxed)!
