Mixed Forest
CreekYesterday after school my dad took me hiking at a creek. It was a very steep way down to the creek. I almost slipped on the muddy hill. After we finally got down their way a creek surrounded in forest. It soon changed to a marsh surrounding the creek then a field. We didn't see many birds there. But we weren't birding so I didn't expect to see any. We had a challenging hike through the changing habitats. Hopefully, my dad enjoyed the challenging hike too.

I am glad to hear a running stream because it is a sign that spring is really here. I don't think it would be better to fall in a creek face first than to fall on a sidewalk. I am very cautious around the streams and rivers right now.

ruth-I like the sound of a running stream too. You should be cautious, streams and rivers can have dangerous rapids.
