Remembrance Day

As you all know today is Remembrance Day. We had a assembly at our gymnasium about it, here is my story of it. At Period 4 our class was called down to the gymnasium for the assembly. We sat down there and waited for the other classes to show up. Once they did we began the assembly. Two people from each class and Mr. Grobe (our principal) carried a reef filled with Poppies. Then the Grade 7's read the poem "In Flanders Fields". Then Ms. Pealcha gave us ideas on what to think about in the two minute moment of silence. Then they played the advertisement about Remembrance Day shown on Television 2006 and 2007. Then we did our moment of silence and Mr. Grobe did a speech and we left. It was Period 5 by the time it was over.
Goodbye,
Birdman

It is good to have a Remembrance Day assembly. We used to get a school holiday on Nov 11th, but we didn't take time to think about the people who fought for our country. So now you have to go to school and learn about it,
